God Will Restore

Tylewisblog

"God, your God, will restore everything you lost..." Have you ever lost something, and you felt like your whole life was literally snatched from you? That's how I felt at 8 years old when I was told that I couldn't dance any more. Dance was my life! Life as I knew it was over for me, or at least I thought. What I didn't know was years later, God would restore what was taken from me, and place it in my seed. The word teaches us that God will restore everything that was lost, but we just don't know in what manner. On yesterday, my daughter attended a Master Class taught by Debbie Allen. (insert faint here). It was at the age of 7, the same age that my daughter is now, that I started having pain. I noticed that I was not able to dance like the other children in class. I couldn't do splits, leg lifts, or even dance for long periods of time. I knew there was something wrong, I just didn't know what. At 8 I found out about my disability, and by 9 I was having surgery, learning how to walk over again, and dance was stripped away from me forever! Dance was stripped away from me forever! That situation sent me into a whirlwind of emotions. As a child, I really didn't know how to comprehend what was going on. All I knew was that there were no more practices, costumes, or dance recitals. I was pretty angry. But God has a way of working it all out for your good! He will restore all that you have lost. He didn't call me to dance, and because of my calling now, I understand why. How many of you know that God is so amazing? He didn't take my gift to punish me like I thought He did. He took it from me, held it until 20 years later, and placed the gift inside of my child. He knew the plans He had for her, and He knew she would be greater than I ever was. With her gift of dance, she has accomplished more than I ever would have thought. She has a gift, and that gift is making room for her. Who would have thought at 7 she would be taking a Master Class with Debbie Allen? I mean come on! :) God is faithful. When things happen in your life, don't count God out. Don't get angry at Him. You may not understand what's going on now, but when He reveals it, it will all make sense. He knows exactly what He's doing. He's God! His word doesn't return void! If He doesn't fulfill the promises through you, will you still trust Him? It may not be through you, but through your seed. Trust God!
