Dr. Michael Lee Cook, LMFT-S

Michael Lee Cook is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) whose special interest is Bowen Family Systems Theory (BFST) and its extensions and applications to individuals, families, and organizations. He is the proprietor of Micah Counseling Services offering counseling, coaching, consulting, and supervision that integrates theology and psychology in helping clients meet their needs and concerns. Dr. Mike is also a professional member and approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). He has also written an array of articles and conducts workshops that focus on applying Bowen Theory to a variety of relationship and personal issues and concerns.He is a systems thinker that examines the impact and implications of cultural, economic, and social factors on families, relationships, and institutional life. He is a combat-veteran and holds degrees in business, theology, and counseling. He is the author of Black Fatherhood, Adoption, and Theology(2015).
